I graduated nursing school in 1986 and raised five kids, so I was no stranger to how the human body works, commitment, challenges, priorities, but most of all faith. After becoming certified in all levels of barre with Barreamped (2016), fate is the best word that I have to describe how yoga came into my life in August of 2019. Yoga and YogaFit then began to fill a void that I did not know needed filling. As a result, I learned very fast that yoga was much more than a physical practice ---- it serves the mind, body, and soul. I am very passionate about my practice and am very excited to be the very first to bring a yoga studio to our community. I have a very supportive husband of 30 years, have 5 wonderful children and 5 amazing grandchildren.
In addition to my RYT-500 I am an active member of Yoga Alliance. I have also completed the requirements needed for YogaFit for Wellness, YogaFit for Holistic Whole Body Health, YogaFit for Athletes, YogaFit for Active Adults, YogaFit for Warriors and Warrior Kids. I also some volunteer yoga classes for my own healing.
